The Santa Cruz Float Center offers experiences inside of a 'sensory deprivation tank,' and they describe the experience of being inside one of their flotation tanks as an environment, "free from gravity, time and boundaries. Imagine if you could Float effortlessly in the euphoric state that exists naturally when your senses are relaxed, and you reach the true core of your being." The tank is an enclosed structure that is 7' long by 4' wide and 4' tall. Inside it is 10 inches of water that is heated to body temperature and in the water is 800 lbs of epsom salt, which makes a person completely buoyant.
